Known as Super Smiley, he's a 2 time shelter dog who's The Ambassador Of Kindness for the Animal Film Festival, a dog actor, Therapy Dog, Animal Assisted Crisis Dog, animal advocate & the Official National Spokes-Dog for the 2013 &14 American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards. He rocks being a Mutt and inspired the World's only national Flash Mob Tour for Pet Adoption, as well as the "Kindness with Super Smiley®" program, Teaching Kids Kindness and Values through Animals. He co-hosts an award winning radio show on the World's largest pet radio network, and inspired 2 award winning Documentaries. He was a Presenter at the 2013 Hero Dog Awards and won the title, Ambassador of Kindness, at The Animal Film Festival for his work in promoting kindness. Also known as "that Flash Mob Dog," and Spokes-Dog 4 Throw Aways, Smiley has won an Honorary Mention at the Genesis Awards presented by the Humane Society of the United States for his radio show,"A Super Smiley Adventure," and won The Visionary Award at The Awareness Film Festival for "paying it forward" advocating for homeless pets in his film, "Super Smiley Flash Mob - A Dogumentary." He's set to star in the upcoming television project, Pets Welcome Here as the K9 Adventure Guide. He was abandoned twice in downtown LA before finding his forever person, Megan Blake. Megan had been looking for a grounded confident dog who could help rehabilitate her nervous German Shepherd who had been abandoned four times in her short life. After searching over a month, Megan saw Smiley at the shelter. She looked right into his eyes and said, "Are you my dog?" He starred back "I am." But the shelter had him on a 28-day hold. Even though his owner had abandoned Smiley, they had not technically relinquished him. So Megan visited Smiley every day until his day of freedom. When the day arrived, Megan waited at the shelter gate hours before it opened, sitting like a groupie at concert doors to insure she claimed the smiling dog who had already claimed her heart. Soon after, while they were watching television, one of those sad commercials for pet adoption appeared. Smiley looked right into Megan's eyes and thought real hard, "We have to change this. We need a happy campaign that will energize people to go out and adopt a pet!" And... The Super Smiley Flash Mob 4 Pet Adoption was born! Smiley and Megan have been energizing pet adoption with their Flash Mob Tour across the US in cities including NYC, LA, Daytona, San Diego, Phoenix and Greensboro and at events like the Southern California Belly Dancer Shimmy for the Critters and at a 2,000 seat amphitheater with the show's cast on stage opening the musical Hairspray! A Super Smiley Adventure is Smiley's Radio Show that explores pet travel, adventures and journeys of inner discovery where pets lead. Beneath the adventure and whimsy are always animal advocacy messages. PetLifeRadio.com Smiley Wins The Visionary Award at the 2012 Awareness Film Festival in Los Angeles for his documentary, "Super Smiley Flash Mob - A Dogumentary." The Awareness Film Festival presented world-renowned films including Tom Shadyac's "I Am" and Humane Society of the United States' "Minds in the Water." The Festival is known for showcasing films containing ecological, health and animal awareness value. Right in the middle of this stellar lineup was a smiling mutt narrating his film with a whimsical charm that can be delivered only by a smiling mutt like Super Smiley. His Dogumentary won The Visionary Award! Within a week it was invited to screen again at Los Angeles' World Fest along with select animal advocacy films presented by the Humane Society of the Untied States. Smiley's film takes the audience on his mission of energizing pet adoption by creating a Flash Mob Campaign and touring it across the country with the goal of finding all homeless pets forever homes. He breaks the fourth wall, directly addressing the audience as he narrates. He delivers this powerfully important message with the greatest of whimsy and charm... Smiley is like a Secret Weapon. Smiley was a spokes-dog for Toyota's Safe Pet Travel initiative during Toyota's campaign. On PBS's #1 pet series, "Animal Attractions TV," he demonstrates fun training techniques. He makes frequent Red Carpet appearances stealing the spotlight while Megan gives voice to their mission for animals. Show less «
