Born in Manchester, Lancashire, England, Courtney-Davies began as a classical ballet dancer. Trained by some of the greatest ballerinas of the last century she won the gold medal at The Royal Academy's 1983 Genee International Ballet Competition, one of the most prestigious classical ballet competitions in the world. The gold medal was presented to her by it's president Dame Margot Fonteyn, Prima Ballerina Assoluta. Courtney-Davies is also a highly qualified graduate of The Royal Ballet School's Teachers Course, taught by Valerie Adams in the style of Dame Ninette de Valois. This versatile dancer, singer, actress, began her professional career at the age of thirteen playing Rochester's ward "Adele" in a production of "Jane Eyre." She is best known for her performances in London's West End theatre starring in shows including Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Song and Dance" and "Cats." She was cast by Trevor Nunn in The Royal National Theatre's production of "Oklahoma!" starring Hugh Jackman, with choreography by Susan Stroman, and the third epic musical operetta "Martin Guerre" by Alain Boublil and 'Claude-Michel Schonberg' the composers of "Les Misérables." Courtney-Davies met her future husband Nick Musker in Anthony Van Laast's accomplished dance company "Souls In Motion." She has been presented to Her Majesty The Queen and other members of The Royal Family on several occasions and invited to perform at Buckingham Palace for "The Duke Of Edinburgh's Award."
